Kent Arnott is an experienced Marlborough lawyer.  He works in general litigation but focuses mainly on criminal, employment and relationship property matters.  He graduated from the University of Otago in 2007 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Political Studies). He was admitted to the bar in 2008 and has lived in Blenheim since that time.

Kent acts for clients facing charges filed by the police or other government agencies.  He is able to advise on the best and most cost-effective way to deal with each situation.

Kent gives practical advice to employers and employees about personal grievances, disciplinary processes and employment law in general.  He attends disciplinary meetings, mediations, and has represented clients in the Employment Relations Authority.  Kent drafts staff employment agreements and is able to advise employees who have any questions or concerns about their own agreements.

In addition to the above, Kent has experience dealing with relationship property issues.  He therefore gives advice to clients who have recently separated, or who wish to enter into contracting-out (pre-nuptial) agreements.

Kent served as President of the New Zealand Law Society Marlborough Branch between 2018 and 2022, having previously been a Council Member.

Please feel free to contact Kent to discuss your particular situation.  He is happy to help.
